Exeter Respect Festival 2016
‘A wonderful weekend at the Respect Festival in Exeter! Regional Foster Families spread the word of the importance of fostering in the South West and gained lots of interest. Foster carers and staff met together to have a fun weekend supporting community agencies in Exeter, and even Larry (the friendly dog from Greece made an appearance).
The weather was mostly sunny with the occasional shower, where everyone escaped inside the gazebo. A great fun weekend where children did a variety of activities and various food from around the world was tasted- a great experience.
The hunt for the best samosa’s was a key part of the weekend- and Mark couldn’t resist the temptation when they were personally delivered to the stand. Guess the sweets in the jar was a hit with excited children and was won by one very happy 8-year-old from Exeter- 122 sweets. The only thing was he had agreed to share them with his sisters!
